Starrchez (A.K.A. Starr Canon) is an Electronic Music Producer, Lyricist and Artist. The L.A. native started her education in the Recording Engineering and Music Technology programs at Long Beach City College, in Long Beach, CA. While in college she began interning for major labels learning the business end of the industry, as well as working and writing with up and coming independent producers, artists and performing on local cable TV shows. Although engineering was enjoyable, she was looking for something with more creative control and output.
Having always had a life long love of Dance Music she recognized that this kind of music above all others spoke to her. So in 2004 she started her own label "Hit It Wicked Productions". Dedicated to dance Music she would take her Music Technology background and broaden her horizons by learning the ins and outs of music production and independently release her first album on HIWP "Parties and Paperwork" on in 2006. It was during this time she started to find herself in rotation on college radio stations, underground clubs and also being played and supported by international DJ's like the Flash Brothers. She continued to write and work with acts like Genuine Childs, Shotgun Radio, DJ Poogie, DJ Michael Trance and DJ Lustyle, as well as for Film and TV placing the song "Unwind Ur Spine" in the indie film" Hotel California" starring Erik Palladino. 2009 saw the worldwide digital release from her newest side project "Steampunk" under Provizion Music Architecture/CREATE.Digital Music. This new project allowed her to delve into a glichier darker sound that was very well suited for Film, T.V. and Electronic Media.
Starrchez’ eclectic choices in film & music have shaped the writer and producer that she has become. From her love of horror films, Hollywood classics to Bollywood, from Classical composers such as Debussy, Mozart and Mussorgsky to Artists like Prince, David Bowie & Nine Inch Nails & EDM producers like Kaskade, BT, Massive Attack, Daft Punk and Air.

One of Starrchez' aspirations is to be one of the first female dance Producers/Artists to be recognized as an important part of the EDM community by bringing to the masses prominent artists as well as amazing and beautiful melodic music. And to become a major force in Music Business, in the fields of Artist Development & Creative Consulting.
It’s just a matter of time before her underground presence is no longer a secret. “I’m dedicated to just being the best Producer, Writer and Artist I can be,” says Starrchez, “Constantly staying open to new things, meeting new Artists, Producers and DJ’s from as many genres as I can & staying humble, all this is really working for me right now & I’m looking forward to what’s next”
